Last week, the incoming MSEM cohort got to know their fellow students, the Homewood campus, and the Baltimore area during MSEM orientation. Between workshops, campus tours, project work and Baltimore outings, students are prepped and ready for the start of classes today.

On Monday, Director of Graduate Programs Trevor Mackesey and CLE Director Pam Sheff welcomed MSEM and MSIL students to campus. On Tuesday, students toured the Johns Hopkins Hospital and met with Patient Safety Collaborative leader and Diversity Program Manager Stacey Marks to learn about their first major project, also known as the Hospital Project. In the evening, students attended a welcome reception at Peabody Heights Brewery.

On Wednesday, students completed workshops with Trevor Mackesey and faculty Bill Smedick and Eric Rice before small-group meetups around campus with their management-track advisors. On Thursday, students had their headshots taken in Malone Hall before attending an evening Orioles game. Friday, students rounded out the week with workshops and guest speakers from around campus.
