Last week, the first-year cohort completed the “Hospital Project,” which they began during orientation. Student teams were matched with project partners (doctors, nurses, and staff) at Johns Hopkins Hospital to find solutions to complex problems their partners face on a daily basis.
The teams presented their recommendations at JH Hospital on issues ranging from enhancing diabetes management for visually-impaired patients to improving patient flow and care by optimizing bed assignment processes.
