Tuition and Health Insurance

Most Master’s students will be expected to cover their own tuition and expenses, though some merit aid may be available at the discretion of the admissions committee.

Applicants who completed their undergraduate degrees at Johns Hopkins will receive a WSE Dean’s Fellowship waiving 50% of tuition.

Tuition for full-time students at Johns Hopkins for the 2019-2020 academic year is $55,350.

All students in the MSEM program are eligible to receive coverage through the University-sponsored Student Health insurance; the student will pay $250 per semester and the university will pay the remainder.


MSEM students also have the opportunity to become Teaching Assistants when they arrive on campus. These positions pay $16.50/hr.
